Innovative Teaching at DSU

To be prepared, we encourage you to ensure that the following technical requirements are secured.


Desktop or laptop is recommended. Most resources are accessible from a mobile device, but do not provide full access to all learning resources and activities.

Internet Access

Courses are best viewed with high-speed internet and a reliable internet connection.

Web Browsers

Students should have at least two browsers on their computer.

Course assignments commonly do not require special software. Certain degrees may require specific software programs.

Students needing help with technical issues can contact the Help Desk or submit a request within Canvas (DSU learning platform).

DSU provides you with the tools necessary to take ownership of your educational experience. Knowing your commitments will help you prioritize your time and make choices that best support your goals. After being admitted, you can get a jump start on your future by completing Orientation.

Orientation is designed to prepare you to be a successful student. The course and the instructor set the stage, but your success is ultimately up to you!

Students who complete the orientation are more prepared to overcome their time management obstacles and have adjusted to a work/school/life balance.
