Canvas is DSU’s primary learning platform. It is used by all public higher education institutions (and many K-12 districts) in Utah.

Canvas is known for its user-friendly online environment and ability to easily connect instructors and students both in and out of the classroom. All DSU faculty have been asked to use Canvas to post the course syllabus, in providing you with feedback and scores on assignments, exams and other learning activities, as well as to inform you of class announcements and messages (Inbox).

For online classes, additional features of Canvas are commonly used including the discussion board, conferencing, announcements, chat, and course and personal calendars.

Login to Canvas

Canvas is accessible from the Current Student Portal. Use your DixieID (D number) to login. For assistance with your login, please contact the IT Help Desk.

Mobile Apps

Accessing your course materials has never been easier, as you can participate in your online class right from your mobile device. Make use of the time waiting for a bus, a friend or extra time at lunch to keep up with your studies.
